Peters Langford Davies to merge with WBW

A merger of two of the longest established law firms in Cornwall and Devon will from January create one of the largest legal practices in the South West.

Peters Langsford Davies will merge on January 1st 2017 with WBW Solicitors who have offices in Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, Exeter, and Torquay.

PLD Partner Helen Davies, who becomes a Partner in the new firm, said: “I am excited about the merger. As well as releasing me from a lot of management responsibilities, leaving me free to focus on client work, it will give PLD the opportunity to offer a greater depth of expertise and range of services in Cornwall and beyond.”

WBW was founded in 1831 whilst PLD can trace its origins back to 1838.

Steve Bulman, Managing Partner of WBW, said “The Partners of WBW Solicitors are very pleased to announce the merger with Peters Langsford Davies. The new firm will create one of the largest legal practices in the South West, bringing together two long-established firms who will offer a full range of legal services to their current and future clients. Peters Langsford Davies share our approach to client care, personal service and quality assurance, and we believe both firms will be even stronger together.”

The new firm will have 180 members of staff across five offices providing superb client care and delivering quality legal advice across Cornwall and Devon.
