James de Ferrars

James de Ferrars joined Peters Langsford Davies in 1991 as the head of the Probate and Trust Department.

He acts for many private clients and takes an interest in agricultural conveyancing. He has a wide experience in estate planning and advises on the preparation of wills, inheritance tax planning and the transfer of assets.

James also specialises in public guardianship, in particular in helping those unable to manage their affairs. He advises on a large number of trusts, including the now popular nil rate band discretionary trusts, as well as older style, strict settlement trusts, entailed interests trusts. He also acts for several large charitable trusts.
